Mother’s Day

Here’s to women…

the women exhausted with a little one’s constant needfulness; 

the women navigating shifts and turbulence in their adolescent kids’ lives; 

the women who feel motherhood in their souls, but it hasn’t actuated; 

the women who mother by bestowing legacies of encouragement, insight, and love, though not by blood; 

the women who miss their babies because they’re no longer here on earth; 

the women who miss their adult children because they no longer share relationship; 

the women who have toiled and served, and enjoy sweetness in togetherness today.
